Initially established as ‘’The Lagoon Residents Association’’ in 2004, we became incorporated as a Community Development Association (CDA) in June 2017.
Duly registered under both CAC and the Lagos State Laws, we are a community focused group covering Residents (both tenants and Landlords) in the under listed streets:

SOur primary objective is to achieve a better community and environment for all stakeholders, by supporting the local and state government efforts in the following critical areas…
Infrastructure
Provision & Maintenance of INFASTRUCRURE, Fixing the roads when they go bad or lobbying the local government to get it done quicker. We also clean the streets on a regular basis (funds permitting). Ensuring that we have adequate and effective drainage to prevent flooding (as we have experienced in the past). We clear the drains regularly before the rains to prevent flooding. Ensure that our local POWER supply and distribution (EKDC equipment) is functional. Work with the other estate associations to ensure regular water supply from the state water corporation.
Security
Provision of ADDITIONAL SECURITY, To augment the local Police efforts. To strengthen the links with the local Police and state security response units. To provide a local network of up to private security men that can respond quickly to robbery attacks and other emergencies that do occur frequently.
Community Check
Provision of a local “COMMUNITY CHECK” that can monitor and regulate the activities and behavior of other residents to ensure that our neighborhood does not become an inhabitable / insecure or undesirable place from their actions..….for example, brothels, nightclubs, shanty towns, mechanic workshops, refuse dumps, abandoned vehicles, Illegal commercial activity….to name a few.
Partnership
Work in partnership with LERA the main Lekki Peninsula Phase 1 association other zonal associations and NTDA to coordinate the effective execution of projects that effect the wider community; including the creation of a common “voice/platform” for lobbying government and private institutions that effect the lives and properties of the people living in and around the estate.

Memebership and Dues
- Current membership subscription is just N5,000/month (N60,000/Annum) for every residential dwelling (so where there are 2 separate residents on a plot with 2 wings of a duplex, each will be expected to pay N5,000).
- Flats are expected to pay N2,500 monthly (N30,000/Annum)
- Corporate & religious organizations pay N20,000/month (N240,000/Annum).
- Special subscription rates will be negotiated for larger commercial developments.
- BPlus a one-off development levy of N150,000 to take care of the major capital investment (like street lighting and transformers) that have already been made by larger contributions from earlier members.
