Initially established as ‘’The Lagoon Residents Association’’ in 2004, we became incorporated as a Community Development Association (CDA) in June 2017.

Duly registered under both CAC and the Lagos State Laws, we are a community focused group covering Residents (both tenants and Landlords) in the under listed streets:

Services

SOur primary objective is to achieve a better community and environment for all stakeholders, by supporting the local and state government efforts in the following critical areas…

Infrastructure

Provision & Maintenance of INFASTRUCRURE, Fixing the roads when they go bad or lobbying the local government to get it done quicker. We also clean the streets on a regular basis (funds permitting). Ensuring that we have adequate and effective drainage to prevent flooding (as we have experienced in the past). We clear the drains regularly before the rains to prevent flooding. Ensure that our local POWER supply and distribution (EKDC equipment) is functional. Work with the other estate associations to ensure regular water supply from the state water corporation.

Security

Provision of ADDITIONAL SECURITY, To augment the local Police efforts. To strengthen the links with the local Police and state security response units. To provide a local network of up to private security men that can respond quickly to robbery attacks and other emergencies that do occur frequently.

Community Check

Provision of a local “COMMUNITY CHECK” that can monitor and regulate the activities and behavior of other residents to ensure that our neighborhood does not become an inhabitable / insecure or undesirable place from their actions..….for example, brothels, nightclubs, shanty towns, mechanic workshops, refuse dumps, abandoned vehicles, Illegal commercial activity….to name a few.

Partnership

Work in partnership with LERA the main Lekki Peninsula Phase 1 association other zonal associations and NTDA to coordinate the effective execution of projects that effect the wider community; including the creation of a common “voice/platform” for lobbying government and private institutions that effect the lives and properties of the people living in and around the estate.

1. We are a sub-zone of Zone 8 within LERA Scheme 1 under the delineation recognized by NTDA
2. We are a CDA registered under Eti Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State

Call To Action

Memebership and Dues

  • Current membership subscription is just N5,000/month (N60,000/Annum) for every residential dwelling (so where there are 2 separate residents on a plot with 2 wings of a duplex, each will be expected to pay N5,000).
  • Flats are expected to pay N2,500 monthly (N30,000/Annum)
  • Corporate & religious organizations pay N20,000/month (N240,000/Annum).
  • Special subscription rates will be negotiated for larger commercial developments.
  • BPlus a one-off development levy of N150,000 to take care of the major capital investment (like street lighting and transformers) that have already been made by larger contributions from earlier members.

How do I get started on CLANNIT as a residential estate user?

  • 1. Download and install CLANNIT from PlayStore (Android users) or App Store (iOS users)
  • 2. Create your CLANNIT account:- Use the same Email and Tel. No. you have registered with the estate Clannit will send you a validation email - please note that this may sometimes go into your Spam mail box.
  • 3. Log in to CLANNIT
  • 4. Click on Join Clan
  • 5. Input the correct Clan Code for your community (You may ask from your Estate Admin. If not sure)
  • 6. Choose the correct address for your residence on the form
  • 7. Click the Submit button Congratulations! You may now begin to enjoy the numerous benefits CLANNIT offers residents of communities like yours.
FAQ

How do I invite guests?

Simply click on “Invite Guest” and enter the required details to do so.

What happens if my guest arrives earlier than the expected time?

Security personnel will be unable to check them in, and you’ll have to send them another invitation code to match the correct time

What happens if my guest arrives later than the expected time?

Same thing if your guest arrives too early. Security personnel will be unable to check them in, and you’ll have to send them another invitation code to match the correct time

What happens if my guest fails to show up?

Nothing happens. The invitation code generated simply expires.

What's the difference between a one-time guest and a permanent guest?

A one time guest is basically, an in-frequent visitor to your residence or anybody whose visit will not last more than 24 hours at a stretch. A permanent guest on the other hand is anyone who typically may be staying at your residence for more than 24 hours at a stretch. e.g. family members who may be on vacation with you

Will CLANNIT work if I do not have internet access?

You will need to have a functional connection to the internet in order to use CLANNIT

Can I cancel a guest invite even if I have already sent it out?

Yes. You can revoke an invitation for whatever reason even after you’ve sent it out, by following the steps below: Click on the TRACK GUEST icon on your smartphone in CLANNIT Click on the “…” below the invite you wish to revoke Select “Revoke Invitation” Please note that once an invitation has been revoked, CLANNIT will automatically generate a message for you to send the guest notifying them that the invitation has been cancelled. You will have to generate a new invitation code if you wish to invite the same guest

Can I generate a guest invite after revoking an invitation for the same guest?

Yes. Simply click on “Invite Guest” and enter the required details to do so.

Are access codes reusable?

Access codes are reusable only for permanent guests and for the validity period of the codes

Can access codes generated in one estate work for guests in another estate?

No. Access codes generated can only be used to gain access to each specific community

How do I add my domestic staff?

In the left side menu in CLANNIT, select “My Clans” Select your residential estate clan Select “Domestic Staff” Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process

My mother-in-law is staying with us for a few weeks. Do I have to keep on generating invitation codes for her during the entirety of her stay?

No. Simply invite her as a permanent guest.

How do I invite permanent guests?

Click on “Invite Guest” Enter your guest’s details Under the “Type of Guest” select “Permanent” Click on "Generate Access Code” button Send the code to your guest via your preferred social sharing platform

How do I know if/when my guest arrives?

CLANNIT sends push notifications to alert you once your guest has been checked in

I don’t know the Last Name of my guest. What should I do?
